Are these tools actually free?
Yes. Domain Finder and Lead Finder are MIT-licensed and free to use, fork, or self-host. Passnue (coming soon) will be free to download and use, but its source code is not open. No paid tier, no account required.
Can I self-host or modify them?
Domain Finder and Lead Finder are open source under MIT. Clone them, change what you need, run them wherever you want. Passnue is closed source, so it can't be self-hosted or modified.
Why is the Domain Finder embedded but not Lead Finder?
Domain Finder already runs entirely in a browser. Lead Finder drives a real Chromium instance and writes files to disk — that only makes sense running on your own machine, so we didn't fake a demo for it.
Does the Domain Finder demo use a paid API?
No. It checks DNS first, then falls back to a free RDAP registry lookup — nothing paid, nothing mocked.
Where does Passnue store my passwords?
Only on your own device, encrypted with AES-256-GCM. There is no cloud sync and no account, and the app sends none of your data anywhere. More about Passnue.
Is Passnue open source?
No. Passnue will be released as a free app rather than an open-source repo, with no paid tier and no account needed.
